The “Twitterer in Chief” can’t stop himself from attacking the checks and balances of the United States government. Civics in Chaos is a game to Make America Smart Again. Game play happens in the Congress where 11 swing votes determine whether or not a bill becomes law. Tweets will disrupt the rule of game play with absolute chaos. Will the bill be passed? Will it be blocked? Or will the tweets disrupt it all. Beware of the sneak hacks from the Russians and maybe, just maybe, if you’re lucky, you will Impeach the guy.

Digital Proofs Approved!
12 days ago – Fri, Jul 06, 2018 at 09:26:32 PM

Hi Everyone,

We got the digital proofs this week from the manufacturing plant. After one small tweak, everything has been approved for the next step.

We'll let you know when we see the plate proofs. Should be pretty soon.

Thanks for backing us! We're almost there...

The Game is IN Production!
19 days ago – Fri, Jun 29, 2018 at 12:20:57 PM

This has been a long time coming, and we're happy to announce that the manufacture of the game is fully underway.

The final milestone was the rules booklet. The bad news is that it took until now. The good news is that it's an epic 22 page guidebook with tons of Ed's artwork.

You can view it here (large file).

We'll update you with each milestone. Next one will be print proofs. Then a single production quality game. Then the full run and shipping to you all.

Thanks again for backing this project.

Today in the New York Times
3 months ago – Tue, May 01, 2018 at 11:08:39 PM

Things are heating up!

Something caught our eye in the New York Times today.

The leak of the questions that Mueller might want to ask Trump was fodder for a ton of articles today. One of them had an interesting illustration...

This looked familiar to us. It looks a lot like one of our Politico Hero cards.

Coincidence? You be the judge. The article is very worth reading.

This lets us know that our game is relevant and continues to parallel what is happening right before our eyes.

It's coming soon! Thanks for backing us, and thanks for your patience!

Another update about production is coming very soon.

We've finished the game design!
4 months ago – Sun, Apr 01, 2018 at 10:52:57 PM

Wow, It's already April.

The last part of the game design was difficult. We took a bit of a meandering path, as things didn't feel finished and we kept pushing. It feels right now and we'll be getting the game into physical production asap. We'll post an update with dates as soon as we have them. We'll continue to share the visual design of the game along the way.

We're late. We're sorry about that. Thanks for your patience, and thanks for backing this project!

We think you'll enjoy it. We have a nice little game in the model of the popular euro-style, designer games. Our game remains pretty simple to learn and play. It's no more complicated than Monopoly. But like euro-games, it has built in timers, so it doesn't take forever to finish.

And the final design has more of Ed's illustrations, which was the reason we started on this journey!

Thanks again!

It's Presidents Day...

Hey backers!

We're overdue for an update and we couldn't let this day go by without one.

We're close on the last piece and that means we are almost done!

Here is a preview of what to expect.

There are three parts to the game:

1. Pass a bill into law by playing politics cards. Win and you get a tile.

2. Flip the tile over and you have a person, place, or thing that is part of the "Russia thing."

3. Connect enough of those tiles and you win. You win by completing all 10 steps in Article 2, Section 4 of... THE CONSTITUTION!

Is it a hoax? Is it reality? You be the judge.

We hope it's fun. It's easier to learn than Monopoly, and has fewer moving parts-- on par with Mille Bornes.

Thanks for your support!
